Possible References
- The Abundant Essence looks like a container in the shape of an ancient chinese coin used from about 350 BC to 1912 AD. The outer round shape symbolised the supposed round shape of the sky, and the centre square hole is said to represent the planet earth (天圓地方). A phrase describing this shape is an idiom meaning a person is smooth/flexible on the outside to others but principled/firm inside at heart (外圓內方).
