Game Description
Named by the Wizard Pogona, bearded dragons are named for the spikes protruding from their jaws. They can often be found lazing about, basking in the sun. Due to their solitary nature, they've often been mischaracterized as grumpy, but the reality couldn't be further from the truth. Bearded dragons take great interest in training younger dragons making sure they stay in line

Notes

Possible References

  • The Bearded Dragon's appearance is strongly based on the animal of the same name. The main difference between the two is that the dragon has wings.
  • The Bearded Dragon's description contains many references to the animal:
    • "The Wizard Pogona" is a reference to Pogona, the scientific genus in which bearded dragons are a part of.
    • "Named for their spikes protruding from their jaws" relates to the origin of the animal's name - bearded dragons are named after the long, spiky scales which protrude from their chins, making them look like a beard when threatened.
    • "Lazing about, basking in the sun" refers to how lizards like the bearded dragon like to bask in the sun.
    • "Their solitary nature" refers to how bearded dragons are typically aggressive towards other individuals of their kind, and why it is not recommended to keep two or more of them in the same habitat.
    • "They've often been mischaracterized as grumpy" relates to a common stereotype in bearded dragons; they are usually said to be lazy and often grumpy lizards. However, this is not true, as bearded dragon individuals usually have unique, intricate personalities.
