Game Description
Our wizards tell us that other than their ornate horns, copper dragons are a solid color before hatching. It is only through an odd natural process that they obtain the green hue that is seen on their wings and belly. They are thought to shed the rest of their scales periodically, which keeps them looking as good as new! It's strange that no one ever sees them laying around, where do they all go?!

Breeding

The Copper Dragon can be bred by pairing two basic dragons (one Metal and one Lightning) or two dragons that combine Metal, Lightning, and at least one other element, in either order, at the Breeding Cave/Epic Breeding Island.

• The Copper Dragon was introduced on May 25, 2012.
• The in-game description refers to the scales of the Copper Dragon being a uniform color before hatching, and gradually turning the green color on its wings and belly. This is likely a reference to the oxidization of copper metal to copper oxide, which is a pale greenish color. The rest of its body continually sheds to keep up the shiny color of the pure metal.
  • The absence of these scales laying around may be a reference to the ample use of copper coins in modern day currency, particularly the abundance of American copper pennies.
