Zector is a legendary earth dragon, renowned for his loyalty to man. The story goes that young Zector was rescued and raised by a wandering hermit in the desert. Zector became the hermit's guardian and companion. Any time the hermit went out into the desert to gather materials, Zector would wait by the hermit's cave until he returned. A time came when the hermit never returned, yet Zector remained steadfast. Even modern caravans will sometimes tell tales of a lone earth dragon standing by a small cave lost in the desert. After building this Shrine, it will track the number of earth dragons raised to level 10 in your park (even after you sell them). Once you have accumulated 50 level 10 earth dragons, all earth dragons/hybrids in your park will be able to achieve level 15! Then if you accumulate 50 level 15 dragons, they'll be able to reach level 20!

Now that this shrine is shiny and silver, it functions like the bronze statue except it tracks level 15 earth dragons/hybrids in your park! When you accumulate 50 level 15 earth dragons, the statue will turn gold and allow you to feed earth dragons/hybrids up to level 20! Every level above 14th gives that dragon better odds to breed rare dragons! The silver shrine can be upgraded with gems (discounted based on the number of dragons you already have at level 15). Upgrading Earth Shrine
After the Earth Shrine is built, it will track the number of dragons with the earthelement that were raised to level 10 in the park. Once 50 level 10 dragons with the earthelement are accumulated, all pure or/and hybrid earth dragons in the park can be fed treats to level 15. Once 50 level 15 dragons with the earthelement are accumulated, they can be fed treats and leveled up to level 20. Dragons sold after the Earth Shrine has been obtained will still be counted towards the total.
Effective February 19, 2013, shrines can be upgraded to silver and gold using gems.
Shrines can be upgraded to silver for half a number of gems equal to the number of dragons needed to upgrade the shrine, rounded up to the next gem, or 25 if none have reached level 10.
Shrines can be upgraded to gold for a number of gems equal to the number of dragons needed to upgrade the shrine, or 50 if none have reached level 15.
Shrines can be upgraded to platinum for twice the number of gems equal to the number of dragons needed to upgrade the shrine, or 100 if none have reached level 20
The Earth Shrine's overall description is likely a reference to the Japanese story of the faithful dog Hachikō, an Akita dog born on a farm near the city of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture and is remembered for his remarkable loyalty to his owner which continued for many years after his owner's death.
