"all products and music are property of Backflip Studios, no copyright infringement is intended" - add that to all of the video descritpions just for saftey reasons!
Also, remove the "mid august" part for jade, just say limited!
Wiz: I removed the commentary from your voucher for Wolfie. As it says on the page, to vouch for someone you should just state that you vouch for them.
On JumboNinjaDragon, I combined my voucher and the admin review of edits into one comment just to avoid having to create two together. While you may review edits, it's best if you just enter the voucher. He's going to have to meet the definition of 50 quality edits, which does not automatically qualify just by being a reversion of spam.
i want to..but that would have to have another discussion - i am willing to start it next week..right after the b'crat vote ends :) (not that they are related, i just am a little busy with personal life)
Hi!Wizzy and TLOSAS.Wow!That would be so cool, if we are going to change it.YippY!Actually, I wast just eager to know whether, it will be modified or not:) Okay!Personal life definitely comes first. Thanks.
Actually, I don't think anyone except Admins could ever "close" message wall threads. Users can remove from their page, but I never could close them and had to ask Admins to do so.
Hey, since it was unclear if voting would end yesterday or today, I would recommend you keep it open until at least 8:00 EST tonight (7 full days from opening). I removed Bane's message that summarized the vote, as that implies no one else can vote.
LOL, that was the exact time i said it would close. There is a message on the top saying open through the 11th of May. I totally agree that a tally is a bit biased and it can help shape a vote.
You've done very well on the word marks, I really love them :P
I remember the time when I made the word marks... I'm glad that the wiki is still talking about this subject :P
Why are there only 4 (all bad) choices on the word marks vote? You should have put all options on the table. Of course I can't say anything on the vote, because all non-vote comments will be deleted. This officially makes me give up on this site. I am extremely angry about this. I was very busy the last 3 days, so the discussion got closed. I guess no body does anything on the weekends? You should have had a vote for ALL the designs & even keep it the way it is option. Just because people didn't get involved in the discussion, doesn't mean they weren't going to vote on a better design.

That is really, rather offensive. Those are the choices best supported by the wiki community, and that is why we had a discussion. Just because you work in the art industry, does not mean we will automatically take your word as a final one. We like to involve all members and it boils down to most support.
Of course I can't say anything on the vote, because all non-vote comments will be deleted.
That is the point of a vote - as you can see on other votes throught the wiki, we have a week, and in this case a week and a half, to talk about the issue, and in the end all of the data is analyzed and we go from there.
This officially makes me give up on this site. I am extremely angry about this. I was very busy the last 3 days, so the discussion got closed.
I am sorry to hear that - but remember this is a community for information - if you are going to leave because of a wordmark/logo, then best wishes anyway. I am sorry to hear that, the discussion practically died, and the extended week was up.
I guess no body does anything on the weekends? You should have had a vote for ALL the designs & even keep it the way it is option.
If we allow all 30+ options it is going to be hell. If there are 30 people, what are the odds that we end up with a winning logo/wordmark of 3 votes?! That does not embody enough communtiy and i am sorry but we shall not ever do that. As you can see in the Dragon Page Redesign, there were over 20 proposals, only 4 were in the vote, and after that we had a second, final, vote that has one option with a support or oppose system.
Just because people didn't get involved in the discussion, doesn't mean they weren't going to vote on a better design.
This next part is how I feel: If you did not care to take part of the discussion, then you should either
A. Not vote
B. Vote but Don't Complain
If you did not tell us what you want, then too bad - we are not going to get it out of your head. You can see several users on the vote-thread that were not part of the discussion.

Well, first off - hello, thanks for the concern.

Look the vote says choices 1-4, which are basically the same design (minor differences). You are misunderstanding my reasoning. I know people won't listen to artist. It's the American culture (I'm American). I didn't expect anyone to listen to me, because they never do.
You should have used this vote to consolidate the people who want this kind of design. The final vote should have the one that wins this vote and the other options. If there are other options with minor differences, then the same narrowing vote for these styles should take place as well.
The final vote should be 4 or 5 very different (i mean very different from each other) designs.
Yeah, but those aren't counted in the vote!? Are they? If they are, then it needs to be made clear. I already said which one of these I liked in the discussion. If I can vote on these then I will. It is my understanding that only the 4 option you posted on the vote were being voted on.
Of course I can't say anything on the vote, because all non-vote comments will be deleted.

I know, but when the other basic (not minor differences) ideas aren't represented, then the discussion means nothing. It should be called a vote, if that is where the vote is really going to happen.

I'm angry because in the discussion I was lead to believe the vote would include all the options & it didn't. Everything is being changed on here & if you don't have time to sit on here for hours everyday, then you don't get a say in what is being done. I feel like only the admins, etc. get a say instead of everyone.

Yes, but the 4 designs were different enough from each other that I felt like almost every ones' opinions were being considered. Will this have a support or oppose vote after this one?
If this vote had one of these 4, one with words only, one that had a simple image or two, & the one with the rainbow dragon, & the one with coins, gems, & treats, & leave it alone option, then I would feel like there was a real choice.
Just because people didn't get involved in the discussion, doesn't mean they weren't going to vote on a better design.

If you did not tell us what you want, then too bad - we are not going to get it out of your head. You can see several users on the vote-thread that were not part of the discussion. They probably thought the final choices would be different from each other. A lot of people won't bother commenting if someone else says what they are thinking.</div>
Not everyone can spend hours reading the whole thread. They probably didn't realize that the "discussion" is actually a vote on what will be the final design & that the "vote" is only for minor differences. Again, if they read someone's post & it was basically what they would have said, then they might not worry about posting, since you came up with an example & they thought it would be an option in the vote.

hears my say, if u wanted diffrent disguines u should have saaidf the dusession wnet one for more then a week, more then enoguht time to make it down to a final 4, the 4 MEMBERS CHOSE!
I know people won't listen to artist. It's the American culture (I'm American). I didn't expect anyone to listen to me, because they never do.
there r people from all awround the world on here, and some do lissen many do not! even if u are american it cans till be condered bigotreee! im nit saying u r one but just letting know har u said could be ffencive
Yeah, I said I'm American, when I said that about the American culture!
How is this negative?
I'm just stating facts. Art is not being taught like it is in other developed countries (what are called "1st world counties"). People think that their "1 year old can draw better than Picasso". It's even worse now with the bad economy, art programs are the first to be cut from schools' budgets. As a result, a lot of Americans are stuck at a 12 yr. old development when it comes to art. They simply don't understand it.
Again, I'm stating facts. I have been put down countless times, because I'm an artist & didn't "have a real job" or an "art degree isn't a real degree". That is the negative American culture I was talking about.
Wolfie, no offense, but I can't tell what you said well enough to respond. I know other people from other countries get on here, but the vast majority are American. That's why I said, I didn't expect anyone would listen to me, because I'm an artist. Just to be crystal clear...I am not making fun of you for not being able to write English very well.
Close this conversation if you want, it just proves my point.
next, i am not ignoring you because you are an artist, many family members have ventured into that field and made some good money - i am just saying community > 10 artists put together
no matter what you do in real life, the community trumps your single word, unless it agrees with you.
Wiz, do you want this closed? Not sure you need an admin when it's on your message wall, but I can understand that desire and will help if you wish.
You did a great job gathering input from many, many users and analyzing down to the majority options to give the community four selections for voting. I appreciate all the time you took and that we no longer only make changes because a few Admins want it that way.
