Game Description
The steel dragon likes to parade back and forth showing off its fearsome horns. As other dragons pass, the steel dragon will turn over its right shoulder to flash a cold, steely gaze, stopping them in their tracks. It is a matter of curiosity that no steel dragon has ever been observed to turn left before flashing its gaze.

Breeding

The Steel Dragon can be bred by using any two dragons, in either order, containing the Metal and Cold elements at any Breeding Cave.

Notes

  • The Steel Dragon was released on April 13, 2012, along with the hidden Dodo Dragon.
  • Until August 8, 2013, breeding the Steel Dragon followed the uncommon dragons breeding rule.
  • Initially, the Steel Dragon was available at level 17, but the level availability was changed on October 9, 2013, to level 18.

Possible References

  • The Game Description mentions that no one has sighted the Steel Dragon turning left before flashing his steely gaze - this is a reference to the movie Zoolander, a model whose signature look is "Blue Steel" and who is unable to turn left.
  • According to a DragonVale Facebook post, it was hinted that the Steel Dragon happens to share it's name with the fictional band from Rockstar, a 2001 American comedy-drama film directed by Stephen Herek and starring Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Aniston.
