Possible References
- The Stygian Dragon's design and appearance may be based on the Greek god Hades, who was the ruler of the the Underworld.
- The name of the Stygian Dragon may be a reference to the river Styx that separates the Earth from the Underworld in Greek Mythology and religion.
- The Stygian Dragon's goal message says "Probably best not to follow this dragon across a river." This may be a reference to the dead having to cross the river in order to get to the underworld.
- The Stygian Dragon's quest name, "Runic River", may also reference this.
