Summer solstice/ Midsummer
Greeting to the Summer Solstice (June 21)
Glory of the Day-Star, hail!
Lifter of the Light, Burnisher of the Sky.
Gifts of love to earth are bringing,
Summer's shimmer, dew's delight.
Dancing be the heart within us,
Open be our souls to bliss,
Courage vanquish every shadow,
Greet Midsummer with a kiss.

I had forgotten that the prayer mentioned sun-stones. How cool is that? I'm so happy that BFS kept the sunstone going today, the real day of the Solstice!
I went out at midday & barely saw my shadow. It is the closest we come in this realm to being just spiritual beings. It's because all living things have a shadow. At the Winter Solstice, or Midwinter, it's just the opposite. It's the longest our shadow will be & it's the furthest we become to the spirit realm. That's partly why at Midwinter people were so fearful. Happy Midsummer everyone!
P.S. this is my first blog post, so I have no idea how to get rid of the boxes on every other line. Sorry. summer solstice, midsummer
